The 10 Truths of Phil Collins lyrics...
Good day Phil fans!
The blog "Thought Catalog" recently had an interesting post about "10 Truths as Sung by Phil Collins." Do you have your own 10 truths that you find within Phil's lyrics? Be sure to post about them in the Forum.
And, for fans of Phil's work with early Genesis, this essay about the song "The Musical Box" may be of interest. We don't agree with all the author's statements, particularly about later era Genesis, so we offer it here as a link to an essay about a great song.
Enjoy!

I've always found it much more entertaining to hear some of the tall tales that people have come up with over the years about the lyrics in Phil's music. Number one of all time, is the story of "In the air" So many people swear that Phil saw someone drowning and someone else. Or that Phil witnesses a murder and invited the person he saw commit the crime to a show and sang that song, hoping to frighten the man into a confession. Wow! That's regular TV movie of the week material there! I enjoy the music, and truly hope that in some fashion, Phil will decide to give us more. Were there are creative lyrics, there will be more stories as to how those lyrics came to be. You are loved Phil! Say HI to Annie for me.

All Phil Fans have or find more than 10 truths in one song I think, but my special are the lyrics from 'Another Day In Paradise' for all people and than I like very much the words from the lyric to 'No Matter Who' are personally useable for all Phil Fans too, because they include something that I or Someone else would like say to Phil himself as a kind of recognition :)
"... but there's a heart of gold behind the smile
and it brought me to where I belong.
... No matter what you say,
no matter who you are,
love always finds a way
finds a way to your heart.
Well it's a cold lonely road, but you can survive
no matter which way you choose,
and as long as there's life behind these eyes
I'm here with you, win or lose.
... It's alright that you cry if you're lonely sometime,
no matter who's by your side,
'cos the love that you look for is inside us all,
but it's something you have to find ..."

I did not like the essay about The Musical Box & to the person who wrote this: Phil filled those shoes & more & you couldn't top it if you tried as we can see from your crappy write up,on the other hand I did like the 10 Truths as Sung by Phil Collins, interesting point of view & I like # 6 since it features my REAL name in it & the title of a song I like! :)

Sorry Piper Mills... Two Hearts was written by Phil. You are thinking "A Groovy Kind of Love" from the same film.

Unfortunately, Lyric line #7 was not penned by Phil. He performed a cover of the song "Two Hearts".

When Phil Collins became the frontman for 'Genesis', I love the direction the band went. Phil was a natural, with a great persona and an absolutely awesome sound and an award winning style... The musicians sounded amazing.
