Weekend News Update
Good day Phil Fans!
A collection of news items from around the web, some pertaining to the recent release of Phil's Alamo book, and some others more historical (in the musical sense, not the Alamo sense) in nature.
- Rolling Stone hosts an interview with Phil about the Alamo, and other interesting topics.
- The Warner Sound has a funny video about two dudes on line at a Phil concert...
- The New Yorker has an article about Phil's Alamo book.
- Another Alamo related article from the Statesman.
- In perhaps the most surpring link I found, here's a Q&A with Phil from CreditCards.com, about money matters. Go figure!
More to come!

The Alamo & Beyond: A Collector's Journey (The Special Edition): I've read up to page 279 in Phil's book. Reading Phil's book, one can hear the enthusiasm, in his voice. I'm amazed at the things that we're made, back in 1835 and so impressed with Phil's collection of artifacts and memorabilia. Love the detail in the pictures and reading about the men involved and what lead up to and everything Alamo. Really fascinating and enjoyable to read and learn about.

A quite late, but it doesn't matter: Congratulations Dr. Philip Collins for your Honorary Doctor Degree in History at Mc. Murry University, Texas. Your fans and me are so happy with this notice. Go on with El Alamo.

Thank you for the updates! I am soooo proud of Phil for his courage in revealing a side of him that the rest of the world was unaware. For him to be able to open up and share his deepest passion on a subject that was so personal to him, and then write a book about it, is nothing short of incredible! THEN, he gets an honorary doctorate and become an "honorary admiral of the Texas fleet" for his passion for Texis history! WOW! I am in tears! Phil, don't pay any attention to any of the idiots that may criticize you for your passions in music or history, or even delighting in your retirement. You are a beautiful soul and deserve time to yourself and your family. Admiral Collins... I like the sound of that :-) All my love, Jen xoxo
