Bring back "The Man with the Horn"

Bring back "The Man with the Horn"

I loved this track, the b-side from a single! But its never ever been on a CD and its a fine cool track.

Any chance, maybe an itunes mp3 which would sell like mad as no one has this song!

Barrie

I accidentally find this song

I accidentally find this song in Genesis community. It's really cool. I don't understand why "The Man.." or "Rat Race" never been released..

THanks Guys, totally agree

THanks Guys, totally agree with you. Maybe an album of b-sides and demo's as done on the cool Genesis box sets, thats the way to go! I'd buy it
and listen to it whilst jogging around Richmond Park!

There is a copy of it on

There is a copy of it on YouTube. But we need "No Jacket Required" remastering - and then it may see the light of day. I, too, love the song. The B-side to "Sussudio".

While this is an AWESOME song, I think there are some that are just too close to the heart. With Don Myrick no longer with us (RIP to one of the greatest horn players this world has ever known), I don’t know how likely it is that we will be graced with another version of this song.

Hi all,

Yep the Man with the horn was one of my favorites ( b side of Sussudio 12'). Bu I doubt if it would be released one day...
I'd be curious too to hear the entire "Rat race" track Phil made for "Miami vice"!
I'm really happy that Phil is back!!

You can register with the

You can register with the Genesis The Movement site and download this track, along with many other rare and unreleased material.  Phil is hip with the site (as are Tony and Mike) as it's non-profit based.  The only stuff you can't find on there is the officially released material - which is fair enough.

But "The man with the horn" IS an official track as it has been released on 7" and 12" in 1985 - Although it was on the b-side, it's still an offical release. ;-)

"Err" where did I say

"Err" where did I say anything that contradicts what you said?  Here's a hint: don't bother answering (another hint, because I'm feeling generous, is that I was responding to the question of where to get a copy of Rat Race.  Do you feel stupid now, as opposed to feeling oh-so-clever?  No?  I would.  In fact, I'd feel a total prick right now.)
