Phil was Drumming at The Prince's Trust Concert!!

I have just come back from the concert, shocked and amazed...even though I've had a 4 hour drive to digest it, I haven't!!!

PHIL WAS DRUMMING AT THE CONCERT!!!

Wow!! I had tears in my eyes, it was something I never thought I'd see again after all the troubles he has had with his left hand....and...he didn't have the stick taped to his hand!! He drummed for Eric Clapton, then for the finale song!! He was awesome!! There were some knowing looks between him and the performers, so he obviously was glad he made it through the songs without messing up. All I can say is, well done Mr Collins - what a treat for the fans who realised what an effort and potential embarrassment it could have been! A real inspiriation!

He also sang 3 songs - Heatwave, Can't Hurry Love and My Girl which went over a storm, but have all but been forgotten by me in the wake of seeing him drum again! Stunned!!

He had a moment with Mike during and after the finale which warmed the heart of every Genesis fan there too!! Mike also sounded great and Roachford was brilliant as his front man!!

Phil has never ceased to amaze me, and a 'thank you' seems so inadequate in return for everything he has given me. Phil, you are truly awesome! Thank you!

Does anyone have any video is this concert going to be shown somewhere, some time.. So glad to hear Phil is back behind the drums ... now in a frenzy trying to find footage!

Chris

Found this video snippet

Found this video snippet earlier today of him at the Prince’s trust playing drums – just a heads up: the recordings a bit shaky at times.  Phil’s behind the kit on the far right.  You can see him (at a distance) in the beginning of the video and at the halfway point.  Enjoy!

I haven't been over here in ages... not to fond of this website forum... too hard to post and keep track.  I wish for the "old" forum layout.

Anyway... I was thrilled to hear that Phil played the drums at the show.  His condition must be improving... YIPPEE!!

i am really pleased to find out Phil is able play the drums again as it gives all hope of live stuff one day, i would be happy with just his singing.

But again this site is a joke, was there any news on here before the event or was it a major secret?

The recent email starts with the heading :
If you didn't already know, Phil played an exclusive one-off show last Wednesday at London's Royal Albert Hall

Well I didn't know and thanks for telling before hand official fan site, sorry to be a moaner but one of these days it's going to be Phil's final show and they won't bother to tell us.

Can someone share with us the

Can someone share with us the names of the songs PC played drums for during the EC set?  My guess is that he played on Same Old Blues since PC produced that song but what else?  Also, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks,

Tom

From what I've been able to

From what I've been able to scrounge on the internet, I know he played on Queen's "We Will Rock You."
